The 2011 Cheltenham Open meeting caused quite a stir in the ante post betting for the 2012 Cheltenham Festival and the odds for next year’s meeting continue to change.
The latest horse to jump to the forefront of the Arkle betting is Al Ferof after his impressive display on Sunday afternoon. Paul Nicholls’ talented chaser is now 7/1 from 12/1 with Ladbrokes after a fantastic debut over the larger obstacles and next year’s race is looking like being a thriller.
Meanwhile, Fortria Chase winner Big Zeb is now the 4/1 favourite (from 6/1) for the 2012 Queen Mother Champion Chase, with Forpadydeplasterer installed at 16/1 after he chased home Colm Murphy’s charge.
Hayley O'Connor of Ladbrokes explained to Bettingpro: "Big Zeb now heads our betting for the Queen Mother Champion Chase and his Navan win today proved the ten year old is still at the top of his game."
