Tuesday 17th August
Tuesday is the first day of the Ebor Festival at York where the highlight is the Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes (3.25). The Great Voltigeur Stakes (2.50) and the Acomb Stakes (2.15) are the day's other pattern events.
Wednesday 18th August
The Ebor (3.25) is the showpiece event on Wednesday at York where a maximum field is set to face the starter in Europe's most valuable handicap. The top two-year-old colts will be on show in the Gimcrack Stakes (2.50), while the best stayers get their chance in the Lonsdale Cup (2.15).
Thursday 19th August
This year's renewal of the Yorkshire Oaks (3.25) looks set to be a high-quality contest, with the likes of Sariska, Snow Fairy and Midday all reportedly likely runners. There is also Group 2 action for juvenile fillies in the shape of the six-furlong Lowther Stakes (2.15).
Friday 20th August
The feature of the final day of the Ebor meeting is the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes (3.25) in which ex-Australian speedster Starspangledbanner will seek to confirm July Cup form with Equiano dropping back to five furlongs. The day's other group race is the Group 3 Strensall Stakes (2.15) over nine furlongs.
Salisbury stages arguably the best of the remaining four meetings in Britain on Friday, and the most interesting race there is the listed Stonehenge Stakes (6.30) over a mile for two-year-olds.
Saturday 21st August
Sandown hosts a seven-race card the highlight of which is the Group 3 Solario Stakes (2.30) over seven furlongs for juvenile colts.
There is also good Flat racing at Chester where the feature is the listed Chester Handicap (2.45).
Jumping enthusiasts also have a Saturday to look forward to, particularly at Newton Abbot where the Lord Mildmay Memorial Handicap Chase is the day's best race.
Over in Ireland there is also racing at the Curragh, where all eyes will be on the runners in the Futurity Stakes (4.50) for two-year-old colts, won most recently by this year's Irish Derby victor Cape Blanco.
