Thanks to followers of live-horseracing that entered our competition to win one of five pairs of free tickets to Saturday 30th January’s Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham.

The 2010 Cheltenham Festival is now under two months away and the excitement ahead of racing’s greatest showpiece is beginning to reach fever pitch.  Saturday’s card provides all the final clues ahead of the Festival and it is hard to argue that there is a better one day Jump racing meeting anywhere, with seven races of huge quality for punters to seek their teeth into.

Thanks to all that entered and well done to the first five people that got in touch with Nick this morning.

A thrilling card lies in store on Saturday and all eyes will be on the Argento Chase where Paul Nicholls’ Gold Cup and Hennessy superstar Denman looks set to tackle the famous Cheltenham fences for the first time since his defeat at the hands of Kauto Star last March.  Denman will not be the only Gold Cup hopeful in the field and the Grade Two event is a prestigious staying contest that is sure to be packed with contenders for the Festival’s blue ribbon.

The supporting races are pretty handy too.  The Betfair Finesse Juvenile Novices Hurdle is a high quality Grade Two over two-miles-and-a-furlong is a staging post for many horses being aimed at the Triumph Hurdle, while the Betfair Cleeve Hurdle is a Grade Two run over three miles is the likely meeting place for a number of World Hurdle contenders.  One of the most exciting contests on the card will no doubt be the Grade Three Betfair Trophy Chase, one of the most heavily gambled on races in Jump racing.

In 2009, the mighty Big Buck's put the finishing touches to his Ladbrokes World Hurdle preparations and punters also witnessed wins for Walkon and Ping Pong Sivola, both of whom ran into creditable second places at the Cheltenham Festival.
